Building Homes for Heroes, a Long Island-based organization recently recognized by CNN and Fox News for its role in assisting severely wounded veterans, announced plans to enter the Central Florida market. Staff Sergeant William Castillo of Orlando will be the first recipient of a home. The initial goal is for the organization to provide one local wounded veteran with a new home, each year. Building Homes for Heroes provides individuals and corporations with opportunities to assist the severely wounded men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, donating labor, material, services, etc. |
