Controller, T&T Construction of Central Florida
We are currently searching for an experienced Controller to lead our established accounting department.
The Controller is our Chief Accountant who supervises and maintains formal corporate financial records along with all general accounting, cost accounting, auditing, taxes, insurance, and statistics. The selected individual is expected to extend the accounting function to its management applications and to have an attitude that energizes and vitalizes the financial data by applying it to future company activities. The Controller will also use an analytical approach to bring balance to the management planning and control systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and payroll
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports. Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close of multiple entities and prepare reporting package for owners/management
- Manage preparation of bank reconciliations and daily cash reports. Provide daily cash requirements report to management
- Direct the installation of general and subsidiary ledgers of accounts receivables, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses, and insurance records
- Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems
- Direct the maintenance of accounting, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls
- Coordinate the filing of payroll tax returns and tax correspondence
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist with all functions of risk management, including, but not limited to workers compensation, general liability, all government reporting and placement of such policies
MUST HAVE:
- An excellent technical foundation in accounting and finance with an understanding and thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- Current experience with Timberline Construction Software
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
- 5-10 years experience in financial accounting in the construction industry
- Experience with subcontracting means and methods
- High level of integrity and flexibility, with a positive team oriented "can-do" attitude
- Ability to express ideas clearly in writing or in making informative presentations
- Ability to motivate others to achieve positive action and results
- Ability to multi-task; self motivated with solid time management skills
- Supervisory experience
- Strong computer and accounting program aptitude
- CPA highly preferred

Central Florida Sales Representative Wanted
Florida / Georgia subcontracting company, specializing in four high end architectural products, is searching for the right outside sale representative with a proven architectural product and / or construction sales history. The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills and be as comfortable calling on architects and interior designers as they are on local and national contractors. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will take the initiative to get things done. They must have positive, strong work ethics and be detail oriented. A high sense of urgency and service to the customer is an absolute necessity. The preferred candidate will have the ability to do physical measures as well as have a good understanding of blueprints. Sales representatives are commission based and receive a guaranteed draw and benefits.
Duties:
- Present professional sales presentations to architects and designers both in one-on-one settings and in larger company wide luncheon presentations to educate them about our product lines and how they can benefit them and their clients.
- Work with existing clients of architectural, interior design firms and contractors.
- Cold call on other architectural, interior design firms and contractors.
- Work with the architects and interior designers to have our products specified.
- Work with the contractors to complete the purchase.
Requirements:
- Proven sales record covering at least five (5) years
- Proven past sales income exceeding $50k per year, preferably exceeding $75k per year
- Ability to cold call on architects
- Average or above average computer skills
- Ideal candidate will have established client base / contacts of architects, interior designers and / or contractors.
- Knowledge of blueprints
- Excellent time management skills
- Professional appearance
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
- Willing to submit to a back ground check
