The Subcontractor Award of Excellence was given to Exterior Walls, Inc. for The Peabody Orlando Expansion.
ABC members believe that the merit shop philosophy improves opportunities for individuals and contractors throughout the nation. ABC members believe in the system of free enterprise and open competition. As an organization of general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and associates, ABC members have sustained this commitment through principles of cooperation and quality.
The Free Enterprise Award is a way of recognizing a contractor’s commitment to doing business with ABC members. To promote this vision, Central Florida Chapter ABC recognizes one general contractor and one subcontractor who have used the most ABC members on one of their project entries.
The Free Enterprise Award winners are as follows:
Subcontractor: Cornerstone Construction Services, Inc. for Amway Center for utilizing 17 ABC members.
General Contractor: Balfour Beatty Construction for University of Central Florida, Arts Complex II for utilizing 35 ABC members.
The EIC Awards Committee awarded two individuals for their presentations and entry book submission with the Marketing Excellence Award. Members of the Society of Marketing Professional Services assisted ABC in judging the entry books and selected the following
winners:
Subcontractor Company: Kati Bucciero, Energy Air, Inc.
General Contractor Company: Karen Kurta, Balfour Beatty Construction, LLC
